INTROSPECTIVE LECTURE

Photos from A two day Introspective Lecture with the Theme :Repositioning Oil Palm, Coconut Palm, Date Palm and Shea Tree Research Towards Sustainable Production Through Agro forestry And Mixed Farming Systems For Improved Ecosystem Functions.
Purpose of the Lecture : (1)To bring together all relevant stakeholders including the researchers, academia, farmers, environmental regulatory bodies, etc to chatting a new paradigm shift towards sustainable cultivation of the NIFOR mandate tree crops.
(2) To emphasise the need for better forests and environmental management towards mitigating the adverse impact of climate change.
(3) To create an awareness on the need for balancing between pro
fitability and safe environment in tree crop plantation establishment.

Expectations :(1) Development of New Research Experimental Models for NIFOR mandate crops based on Agro forestry (2) To have increased Buy- In and acceptance of the Agro forestry Plantations Models. (3) To contribute towards awareness and the need to mitigate the impact of climate change associated with deforestation and poor ecosystems services.
